On November 24, 2021, a videoconference for school children took place between two partner cities Rostov Veliky (Russia) and Bernburg (Germany). During the event German and Russian children demonstrated their language and musical talents and talked about their hometowns. They also had a chance to put their knowledge of the life of Catherine the Great to the test in a quiz. In his article for the Mitteldeutsche Zeitung Sebastian Möbius talks more about what the atmosphere at the videoconference was like and what other exciting items there were on the agenda.
This exchange took place as part of the traditional Russian-German painting competition for children, which Erdgasspeicher Peissen GmbH is supporting for the seventh time this year. In close cooperation with the city administrations of Rostow and Bernburg as well as with the charity foundation St. Dimitri Rostowski Erdgasspeicher Peissen GmbH contributes to the development of the youth and to the strengthening of Russian-German cooperation.
